Investigating
nuclear phenomena that challenge the laws of science, Swift Enterprises has
created a micro-miniature replica of the sun at their research installation in
New Mexico. What begins with success ends in mystery as an unknown force surges
forth, not only engulfing the Citadel but Tom Swift himself! Clues to the
nature of the phenomenon suggest a connection to Zero Minus, the newly
discovered dwarf planet orbiting close to the sun. Suddenly the colony of
researchers on the captive planetoid Bartonia, studying Zero Minus, falls
